Priscilla Presley has taken on a new role — designing jewelry fit for a queen. Rock and roll meets red carpet is one way to describe her jewelry line. Her pieces are fashioned around bold, colorful crystals in gothic, romantic and regal designs. “All the pieces ... they're from my own experience, from my travels, from gifts, of course, that Elvis gave me,” she said in a recent phone interview. Elvis' influence is especially apparent in Priscilla Presley's Maltese Cross band ring — a w... ide band of white enamel rimmed with crystals and inlaid with a gold Maltese cross set with crystals. “I wear it all the time,” she said. “I've had a collection of crosses throughout the years that were given to me by Elvis.” She said she plans to use the crosses given to her by her late ex-husband to influence future lines of her jewelry collection. A royal family-worthy necklace, bracelet and earring set in the line features intricately set crystals in vibrant hues of blue and onyx. Teardrop earrings with striking canary yellow crystals dangle elegantly from the signature Maltese cross. A regal triple strand pearl necklace is embellished with a peaceful crystal dove in flight, and a cathedral-window inspired pendant is set with smoke- or champagne-hued crystals. Each piece in the collection is a statement and can be worn as such. “I want people to take a little bit of a risk and wear pieces like this with say a crisp white blouse ... or just something that's simple,” she said. But this spring, you can throw out any old-fashioned rules about how you wear your jewelry. “We're at a great time right now when we can really play with jewelry, we can really have fun,” she said. “Before, we were so restricted with dos and don'ts. I think right now with jewelry, it's a free-for-all.“You can pretty much do what you want to do as long as you're wearing things that you love. Because when you wear those, you feel more comfortable, you feel more confident.”

Hello Everyone!
I want to let you all know that I will be on QVC with my jewelry, March 18 at 1am, EST.
By popular demand, I'm bringing back pieces that we featured in August and also have some new pieces with stories to share with you. I'm really looking forward to hearing how you like them and would love your support. Hopefully I can return with a whole new line.
Remember, it's by the sales that they ask you to return.
I'm going to be on The Talk, Entertainment Tonight and Lives of Styles. Please check the appearance section for the dates.
I wanted to update you on how the twins are doing. They are growing rapidly and are talking up a storm. They are very verbal and let us know exactly what they want. They are so adorable and entertaining. It is so much fun watching them interact.
I also want to thank all of you who have sent me cards and letters congratulating me on being honored "Woman of the Year" by the Nevada Ballet. It was quite an honor held at the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas. Most of my family was there with me and it was a really nice experience.
We were able to celebrate Lisa's birthday as it was around the same time…All went well.
Your letters of condolences over the loss of Leslie Nielsen were much appreciated.
Your support does not go unnoticed.
Love,
Priscilla

The 42-year-old was spotted bike riding around the island with her little charge strapped into a baby seat.

Priscilla Presley is silicone-marred
By COLIN STEWART cstewart@ocregister.com
The face of Priscilla Presley, 65, still shows the apparent signs of injections of silicone that she allegedly got years ago from a foreign doctor at an injection party. Dermatologist Dr. Renee Cobos of Fullerton has said of Presley, “She looks fabulous [and] does not need to have any more work done.”
“I think that she has had a facelift, cheek implants, Botox, CO2 laser on her face and eye areas. She has had injections into her lips (possibly silicone) that have become lumpy. Everything except the injections into her lips have worked for her, but she should stop while she is ahead,” Cobos said.
In contrast, dermatologist Dr. Lorrie Klein of Laguna Niguel said, “Presley looks too ‘plastic.’ Good cosmetic work should never look ‘done.’ It should just make the person look good, yet most people shouldn’t be able to figure out what they have done.”
Problems with silicone injections also plagued actress Lisa Rinna for years. She eventually underwent surgery to dig out as much silicone as possible from her lips.
Silicone is not approved for use as a filler in the United States. Cosmetic doctors say that it tends to leak into places where it’s not wanted and to remain there permanently.

‘Glee’ finally tops Elvis for Hot 100 singles
By: Molly Sullivan
HollywoodNews.com: ‘Glee’ has landed another win as it has beaten out Elvis with more singles on Billboard’s Hot 100 list.
Elvis Presley had a record of 108 hit singles on the list while ‘Glee’ has reportedly scored 113 singles, states Hollyscoop. ‘Glee’ has also already passed up Aretha Franklin and The Beatles as well.
Perhaps part of ‘Glee’s’ success is that they are singing a wide range of songs that are already hits, not originals.
What do you think about ‘Glee’ passing all these music legends?

Priscilla Presley honored by Nevada Ballet Theatre
Nevada Ballet Theatre presented their 27th annual Black and White Ball on Jan. 29 at CityCenter's Aria. The black-tie event honored Priscilla Presley as its 2011 Woman of the Year.
The event began with a VIP party sponsored by Cartier at their new store in Crystals, where Nancy Houssels, co-founder of Nevada Ballet Theatre, and Mariam Afshai, regional director of Cartier, welcomed guests including Wendy and Richard Plaster, Keith Boman, Madeleine and Don Andress, Sharon and Norm Jenkins, Sandee Tiberti, Jacqulyn Shropshire, Melinda and Bob Brown, Rokh Afshai, Carolyn Sparks, Robin Leach, Stephanie and Steve Stallworth, Joel Bergman and Valentina Todorova, Vanessa and Josh Houssels, Cynthia Gregory, James Canfield, Beth Barbre, Michael Brown and Virginia Valentine, Alicia Jacobs and Vince Neil, Judy and Robert Silverman, Barbara Molasky and Mike Sloan, and Priscilla Presley, her daughter Lisa Marie with husband Michael Lockwood, Priscilla Presley's son Navarone Garibaldi and her mother Ann Beaulieu.
The ball's main reception took place in the Pinyon Ballroom, where 673 guests mingled over cocktails as Nevada Ballet Theatre dancers were featured warming up on the ballet barres spotlighted in the middle of the room. The dining room was decorated in black, white and silver satin tablecloths with centerpieces of crystals and purple orchids.
Honorary chairpersons Bobby Baldwin and Audra Hendley welcomed all from the podium and introduced dinner chairpersons Christina and Paul Berry. A tango and excerpts form "Cyclical Night" was performed by the ballet theater's dancers.
Christian Kolberg, with help from Chet Buchanan, conducted a live auction for items including a $23,500 shopping spree at Crystals; two tickets for "American Idol" with airfare and two nights in Los Angeles; a made-to-order Fendi handbag; two cockapoo puppies; a top-of-the-line Harley-Davidson motorcycle; a poker lesson with Phil Ivey and entry into the World Series of Poker; a Michael Mina private dinner party and more.
Kolberg and Robin Leach conducted a "Raise Your Paddle," which brought in $125,000 for Nevada Ballet Theatre's live music fund. Following was a special performance by the cast of Aria's "Viva Elvis" by Cirque du Soleil.
The tribute to Priscilla Presley was given by Nigel Lythgoe, executive producer of "American Idol" and judge and co-creator of "So You Think You Can Dance." A video of Presley's life and her career of acting, producing and publishing was shown before she was escorted to the stage to receive the Woman of the Year award presented by Nevada Ballet Theatre's co-chairs Nancy Houssels and Wendy Plaster and Mariam Afshai of Cartier.
More guests enjoying the evening and the music of Night Train were Debra Hood-Smith and Jack Smith, Kari and Jonathan Halkyard, Alisa Nave Worth and Rob Worth, Francine and Terry Graves, Colette Saltz, Charlene and Craig Cavileer, Diana Bennett, Vicki Fertitta, Shannon and Bill McBeath, Kim Sinatra and Harry Hagerty, Kell Houssels, Kathleen and Eric Houssels, Sue Sullivan and Irais and Bob Kolesar.

Cirque du Soleil Show In Las Vegas Honors Elvis Legacy
Kathleen Curry
Viva Elvis at Aria Resort & Casino gives Cirque du Soleil treatment to King of Rock n' Roll. Elvis Presley and the town of Las Vegas have long been linked. The King of Rock n’ Roll spent the last period of his career in a rhinestone-studded, white jumpsuit in Sin City. Over 30 years after his death, (assuming he really is dead) the Elvis impersonator (along with the showgirl in a giant headdress) has become the symbol most associated with the city that is America’s playground.
Cirque du Soleil has also become inextricably linked with Las Vegas over recent years. The company has shows playing in several locations on the strip. The shows which are fun, amazing, playful, and sometimes irreverent, seem to mirror the personality of the town they play in.
There are several Cirque shows playing the Las Vegas Strip, including Zumanity, KA and Mystere. Cirque shows are just one of many entertainment options in a town that includes shows such as the Thunder From Down Under male exotic dance revue.

LISA MARIE PRESLEY: SHAKEN, RATTLED AND ROLLED
by Arasto
Making a rare public appearance, Lisa Marie Presley attended the P&E Wing event ‘Shaken, Rattled and Rolled’ honoring T-Bone Burnett at The Villiage Studios in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (February 9).
The 43-year-old singer/songwriter/rock & roll royal was joined by the likes of musician Ray LaMontagne as she celebrated the 10-time Grammy Award winner and true legend in the music industry.
Meanwhile, after giving birth to fraternal twin girls in October of 2008, Lisa Marie is said to be currently recording a new album in London due to be released later this year.
She and her family were reported to have bought a $13 million stately home near Tunbridge Wells, Kent late last year as Lisa Marie decided to leave Los Angeles because of gossip surrounding her ex-husband Michael Jackson. She also said recently that LA had “gotten dramatically worse in the last five or six years, even more shallow if that’s even possible.”

Brain Needs Scenery Change
By Jim Shea
I am sitting at a different desk in my office as I write this.
I forgot my portable computer at home.
Everything I know, everyone I know, is on that computer. Without it, I am forced to rely on my baby-boomer brain. This is not a recipe for success.
My boss just stopped by. I told her I was sitting here because I forgot my computer. She called me a nincompoop.
Actually, she didn't call me a nincompoop, but I could tell that's what she was thinking.
My boss said sitting at a different desk would make me write better. She said she read an article that claimed it is better for your brain to not always do things in the same place, in the same order.
Personally, I don't think I'm a slave to routine. I often will put on my socks before my shirt. But I do always (well, almost always) put on my underpants before my pants.
My new surroundings are definitely different.
Taped atop the computer monitor I am facing is a one-million-dollar bill, and on the wall behind the monitor is a huge velvet tapestry of Elvis in a white jump suit with a red lei around his neck.
I stare at the image for a while hoping for some desperately needed inspiration, but all I come away with is the conclusion that the depiction must be from an early Elvis visit to Hawaii, before he started mainlining biscuits and gravy.
Coincidentally, I just read a short interview with Priscilla Presley, who is now 65 with four grandchildren. In the interview, Priscilla revealed that Elvis would never put his hat on the bed because he considered it bad luck.
I have a hard time picturing Elvis in a hat. If he were around today, at age 75, I wonder if he might be one of those seniors who wear those tweedy Gatsby caps?
I read the Pricilla interview in AARP magazine. In the same issue, there was a big story about losing your teeth and how 25 percent of Americans over age 65 have no teeth at all.
See, this is why I read AARP magazine but don't look forward to its arrival.
I'm pretty sure I will never forget my computer at home again.

Elvis Presley Enterprises sues for copyright infringement, illegal sale of box set
February 09, 2011 - 17:51
Adrian Sainz, The Associated Press
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Elvis Presley Enterprises said it's suing men in Florida and England on claims of copyright infringement and illegal sale of a DVD and CD box set of recordings and footage of the singer's performances.
Meanwhile a third person, Europe-based DJ Spankox, is disputing a British court ruling against him in a trademark infringement lawsuit filed by the company.
The Memphis-based company said Wednesday it filed a copyright infringement lawsuit in the Chancery Division of the High Court in England and Wales against Joseph Pirzada, alleging he is the source of the box set.
The set includes footage from a 1977 television special called "Elvis in Concert" and raw footage of Elvis in Omaha, Neb., and Rapid City, S.D., according to the company, which owns copyrights on those materials.
Company lawyers and computer experts, with authorization by the court, searched Pirzada's home Jan. 25 for evidence of the sale and distribution of the set.
An email sent Wednesday to a recording company that lists Pirzada as its owner was not immediately returned.
On Feb. 2, Elvis Presley Enterprises sued Bud Glass, who has previously published an Elvis book and DVD series, on claims he illegally sold and distributed the Pirzada box set in the United States.
An email sent to Bud Glass Productions on Tuesday afternoon was not immediately returned. The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in the Northern District of Florida.
Elvis Presley Enterprises has been known to go after entities it claims have violated its copyright and licenses. The company manages the dead singer's music publishing assets and a worldwide licensing program.
The company said it's considering filing additional lawsuits against others involved the manufacture, sale, and release of the box set and other bootlegs.
"Elvis Presley Enterprises will not tolerate infringement of our intellectual property rights," said Jack Soden, CEO of the corporation.
In more court action, Elvis Presley Enterprises said it won a judgment in the England and Wales chancery court against Agostino Carollo, known as DJ Spankox.
The company had sued Carollo, alleging breach of contract and trademark infringement related to a Christmas remix album that included the company's trademarks, logos and photos.
The DJ and the company had entered into an agreement in 2008 on Carollo's first album of Elvis remixes and a follow-up album, but the company told Carollo in 2009 that it would not support nor endorse the Christmas remix album.
The British court on Feb. 1 barred Carollo from infringing on the company's trademarks and ordered him to pay damages and attorney's fees.
Carollo denies wrongdoing and says he is working to get the ruling discharged.
"They filed the Claim out of nowhere, without even trying to contact me with one single letter, accusing me of infringing EPE's copyright when they instead knew that I didn't infringe anything," he told The Associated Press in an email to the AP's London bureau.
Carollo criticized Elvis Presley Enterprises for filing the lawsuit in England, when he lives in Italy.
He also said the recently released "Viva Elvis-The Album," which features reworked versions of Elvis songs, was inspired by one of his own remix albums.
"It felt like a friend had stabbed me in the back," Carollo said.

Gracedale? Trousland? Elvis and Priscilla's Place in Trousdale Estates
by Adrian Glick Kudler
Gracelanderly Hills, mabe? Well, we'll work on that, but meanwhile, here, from the waist up, is Elvis's house! Elvis and Priscilla Presley paid $400,000 for this Trousdale Estates house back in 1967 (the same year they were married), according to website Elvis Presley's Kingdom. The gate is still covered with notes to Elvis, but it sounds like plenty of changes have been made--a press release says "Don’t be fooled by the old Hollywood references; this estate has been thoroughly updated. Enjoy the best of both worlds – Hollywood pedigree with updated design and modern amenities." (See grainy "before" pictures here.) The house sits on 1.18 acres at the end of a cul-de-sac shared with comedian Danny Thomas' old house. Rent is $25,000 per month. Hey, isn't Nic Cage looking for a place?

Priscilla Presley: Nevada Ballet Theatre's Woman of the Year!
Priscilla Presley poses with her daughter Lisa Marie and an adorable pup during the Black & White Ball fund-raising event for the Nevada Ballet Theatre last weekend at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
Priscilla, 65, was honored as Woman of the Year and attended a cocktail reception at Cartier inside Crystals at CityCenter before the gala.
Lisa Marie (in Chanel) made it a family affair and brought along her husband, musician Michael Lockwood.
Earlier in the week, the couple celebrated Lisa Marie’s 43rd birthday at Tao Asian Bistro, along with her daughter Riley Keough, Ryan Cabrera, and producer Nigel Lythgoe.
Lisa Marie and Priscilla also hit up the legendary Studio 54 nightclub inside MGM Grand.

Table Centerpieces Evoke Dancers' Legs at Nevada Ballet Benefit
Amid ballet dancers, Cirque du Soleil performers, and centerpieces evocative of ballet dancers, the Nevada Ballet Theatre honored Priscilla Presley as its 27th Woman of the Year, at the organization's Black & White Ball at Aria Resort & Casino at Las Vegas' CityCenter. Internally, Nancy Houssels, the Nevada Ballet’s co-founder and board co-chair, who has been at the helm of the Black & White Ball since its inception, oversaw the event, with assistance from Jenn Kratochwill, director of public relations for the theater.
Presley, who was accompanied to the event by three other generations of her family, including her daughter with Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie, entered the ballroom alongside four costumed performers from Aria's Cirque du Soleil show, Viva Elvis, all of whom portrayed Elvis at different stages of his life. But with the exception of a performance from Viva Elvis, the rest of the evening belonged to Priscilla Presley and the Nevada Ballet.
Guests arriving at the pre-event reception saw live performances by members of the Nevada Ballet Theatre. Although the Black & White Ball always has featured performances by the company, this year was the first time dancers performed in the more intimate reception area, where guests could be literally inches away from them.
Table centerpieces were evocative of the legs of ballet dancers and included purple orchids and faux jewels in a nod to one of the signature colors in Presley's jewelry line. "We wanted to show a level of elegance and sophistication, but also some playfulness to represent Priscilla’s lifestyle and career," said Julie Gilday-Shaffer, of the JGS Group, which managed the event. "This was an evening that honored Priscilla Presley, not Elvis. It really was her night."
America Idol and So You Think You Can Dance producer Nigel Lythgoe, a personal friend of the Presley family, introduced Priscilla Presley after a video tribute featuring scenes from her numerous TV and film appearances, including the Naked Gun movies with the late Leslie Nielsen, Melrose Place, Dallas, Touched by an Angel, and Dancing with the Stars.
The event raised more than $200,000 for the Nevada Ballet Theatre.

Priscilla Presley Honored
Submitted by Vegas Insider on Tue, 02/01/2011 - 18:09
Every year, the distinguished Nevada Ballet Theatre honors a woman accomplished in the performing arts as its Woman of the Year. Past NBT Woman of the Year recipients have been Marie Osmond, Celine Dion, Debbie Reynolds, and Bette Midler, and this past weekend Priscilla Presley was bestowed with the honor. Ms. Presley was accompanied by her mother, her children, and her granddaughter as she accepted her award in Las Vegas. She was instrumental in bringing the story of Elvis’ life and music to the Las Vegas stage with the Viva ELVIS Cirque du Soleil Las Vegas show at Aria, and members of the cast were also on hand for the Black and White Ball, which is where she received the award.
“Priscilla’s years of dedication to the art of acting, producing and publishing among other endeavors are an inspiration to us,” said Nevada Ballet Theatre Co-Founder and Co-Chair Nancy Houssels. “We know the Las Vegas community will be equally amazed by the contributions she has made to the world of entertainment and performing arts over the course of her varied career.
The evening was filled with wonderful comments from a variety of people who know Ms. Presley personally and professionally along with dazzling dance numbers performed by talented modern, jazz, and ballet dancers. Other guests included Nigel Lythgoe , Vince Neil from Motley Crue, and Las Vegas entertainment reporter Robin Leach. “I’m both flattered and grateful to be honored,” Priscilla said. “I’ve followed ballet for many years, and now I’m following in the remarkable steps of previous honorees. … It’s very exciting.”
The Black and White Ball is perhaps the epitome of Las Vegas society events. This year’s event was sponsored by Cartier and was held at Aria Resort at City Center.
